Regional information

BBB Library creates an database of the most "interesting" articles with regional thematics. It is a quite unique source of information about Uherské Hradiště. Apart from Slovácké muzeum catalogue, this one contains less specialized and more current records. However, both these sources contain valuable information and for best results, you may want to combine.

Description of content

This service wants to intermediate access to variety of resources and information about Uherské Hradiště district. This is done by acquisition of periodicals and selection of articles for inclusion. Criteria are as follows:

1. REGION
   
   
   documents, which contain information about region Uherské Hradiště in its recent borders, together with materials about other most wanted areas : Chřiby, Bílé Karpaty, Luhačovsko, Střílky (Střílky graveyard only), Horňácko (Suchov, Suchovské mlýny, Velká nad. Veličkou).

   A map of region and list of municipalities can be found on the obce-mesta portal .

2. SELECTION OF ARTICLES AND OTHER RESOURCES
   
   
   The biggest part of database contains articles from local newspapers, and newsletters of municipalities. Nationwide daily papers play smaller, but also important role (MF Dnes, Právo, lidové noviny ad.) but probably the most important are the articles from special regional periodics - i.e.Malovaný kraj, Časopis Matice moravské, museum proceedings, gallery booklets and other.

   Not all articles are registerd, selective criterion is higher that need for coverage - you should find here only articles of higher quality.

   Detailed criteria:

   • articles that show a "effort", rather strange formulation, but from the amount of indexed papers it is apparent who did work, and who only copied what others did.
   • articles in-consistent, however with a lot of data - various aspects of one topic
   • published samples of the works of regional authors and artists, theatre play reviews (but not a advertisements and articles about incoming events)

   Elimination criteria:

   • we are trying to eliminate duplicity, if you find any, please let us know
   • non-important and non-extensive news about current events, cultural, and social doings
   • interviews with non-experts in the respective field

The famous people of region

One part of the database contains collected data about 800 regional persons.
